In IIT JEE we see enormous no. of Aspirants have the dream to get participated in this exam & manage the top highest rank on India level. IIT JEE is the final battle for the students. As it is a prestigious Engineering Institute in All India Level Competitive Exam. More than 10 lakh candidates appeared for the sixth edition of JEE Main and only 2.24 lakh candidates have been shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process.
Now, coming to the point that IIT JEE should make world-class engineers. Also, there are the variety of students with their unique mindsets but at times some of the students having overconfidence in them just because of this weak point they attempt the exam in the wrong way. There is a thin line between confidence and overconfidence… I remember a line from a movie which is very apt and explains the difference between the two.
I know things….. That is confidence
Only I know things….. that is overconfidence
From the above two lines, you can figure out how not be overconfident and stay down to earth with head up in the sky……
Here, we are talking about the mistakes attempted by the students in the exam time of JEE. From the starting of 11th class foundation course students usually do the very common mistakes in their exam as they newly admitted that is why chances of mistakes are more in the first time, but for the next class, students can get the ideas through related given points :
A) Do Not Ignore NCERT Books
Mostly Institutes give the guidance not to avoid NCERT books in preparation for the JEE exam with the 12th standard. Candidates can make their good practice by solving the illustrations & problems from NCERT books because these are conceptually very preferable in simple terms. You all familiar with it that CBSE should not cross the boundaries of the syllabus. There mostly illustration is the base of all the questions. So, before 1 day of exam never hesitate to read from the NCERT books. It will help you better.
B) Keeping the Doubts Alive
“DOUBT” the word is too horrible but helpful in clarifying the basic concepts for long-term
remembrance. During this phase of preparation, doubts create stress so that
if you will find any doubt in last revision days so that you need to first clear your
doubts. Believe the quotation, “Better late than never”. So clear your doubts as
soon as possible.
C) Prepare Chemistry in last
Candidates need to prefer Math & Physics first as these are interesting subjects
then after that, they can take Chemistry because most of the students get bored to
read the Organic & Inorganic Chemistry. Never let your confidence weak as it is
scoring subject so you cannot skip this.
D) Less Homework, Practice & Focus
- Generally, we see that students are already in stress at the time of examination.
- Wasted a lot of time in playing cricket
- Spent more time on Facebook and on other social networking sites
- Solved less number of problems
- Read less of theory in Physics and Maths
- Relied on coaching teachers for learning
- Ignored subjective problems in Maths
- Read too less theory in Waves and Sounds (Physics)
- Least Importance To Practise
- Students usually not motivating themselves
- Give less time to practice & ignoring revision
- Working More On Prepared Topics
E) Learning from new study material
Some people have mentioned not making a schedule/timetable. Actually, it is
mandatory for everyone to fix the schedule, in other words, it is called Time
Management. Some students think it is very tough to follow the rule of the timetable
as well as it is essential too. So if anybody finds unable to follow the timetable rule
then he/she can just give preference to the interesting subject then cover remaining.
Well during the last one week, students should also take mock tests. Here are some of notifying & the common mistakes you need to avoid while preparing for JEE. Hardly, it is a very peak time for students so that one should not avoid such mistakes in any condition, especially during the last days of Exams. Nucleus Institute organised the Doubt Sessions & tell the tricks to solve the problem quickly as per the requirement of the students.
